(2) How to order :
After some delays, this book has now been published, including its legal deposit at the BNF
(national french library) ; and all printed copies have been deliveried on february 25, 2018.
The small RD-RAIL company has been specifically set up in order to handle publishing and sales
for this book and others to follow (in this "Rail performance" series or in the lines profiles
domain). Being an unstaffed company, I have to handle everything myself, from orders to
deliveries... which will depend on how much time will be available for these once I'm through
with my professional duties. In practical terms, mailing will mostly occur on saturdays.
For inhabitants of tbe Paris region, direct hand-to-hand delivery is possible e.g. by meeting at
Châtelet-Les Halles RER station either at the end (between 1800 and 1900) or the beginning (around
0800-0830) of the day. Other options do exist, please contact me by e-mail in any case. This will also
save you packing and postage costs : 9.85 € within France, and 18.00 € in Europe (to be confirmed -
this is the correct current figure for Spain, my first actual mailing outside France). This is
because of the weight (1.3 kg) and size (not fit for an ordinary letter, under french Post Office
regulations) of the postal package.
In any case, initial e-mail contact is recommended, for various reasons :
- in the case of a mail order, it enables me to confirm that the order has been received
and is being processed,
- it creates a link for the possible sending of corrective (free of charge) updates,
- if needed, it enables me to provide you with information about this book, its sales process,
and perhaps the next edition (beyond 2020... possibly in PDF format and for spreadsheet data
only, incorporating a 10th year which could be 2020).
Price : 29.90 €, 5.50pc VAT included (1.56 €), excluding P&P (9.85 € within France ; elsewhere : to be confirmed)
- french cheque made to RD-RAIL (to be sent to the following address : RD-RAIL,
1 Route de Malesherbes, Chantambre, 91720 BUNO-BONNEVAUX)
- (european) cash transfer to the RD-RAIL bank account (account details
will be sent by me after the initial e-mail contact)
- by cash : only in the case of direct delivery in Paris.
An invoice (PDF file) will be sent by e-mail, upon request.
Postage & packing costs (including for deliveries abroad) : not yet defined,
but they should be ascertained in early March, and this text will then be updated.
